My water pressure is fluctuating very noticeably
Limit your water usage to the bare minimum, your well tank bladder may have gone bad. Call us right away to have one of our technicians come out to access your well tank. The well tank is a critical component to your water system. The well tank helps regulate the system pressure. If the pressure is noticeably changing, that is not good for the well pump, especially if the well pump is kicking on and off rapidly, also known as shorty cycling. This can quickly damage your well pump causing failure resulting in a replacement of the pump and tank at the same time.
I have water everywhere in the house, but the pressure is very weak
Do you have a whole house filter? If so, that's a good place to start, replace the filter with the same micron filter, this should restore the pressure to normal. If you do not have a whole house filter on your system, please call us at 973-398-2359. We would be happy to come diagnose your system to help improve the pressure.
My gauge is reading 100PSI, but the pressure seems normal
The gauge may just have gone bad, this would be a good time to schedule a service call for your well tank. It is suggested to have the well tank serviced every 3 years; this will help catch any issues before they become a disaster.
My water stopped after power washing the house for 3 hours. (Or after other heavy usage)
- You may have drawn the well down to the point where the well is temporarily out of water, you should stop power washing (or other usage) for the day. We suggest turning the power off to the well pump at the breaker. This is the best and safest place to do this. Wait 3 to 4 hours before turning the power back on.
- When the water first comes back into the system it may be dirty. Before using water in the house, use an outside hose to run the water for ten minutes. If any dirty water comes into the system, it will easily go out of the hose, you do not want sediment, sand or rusty water getting into the system.
- If the water does not come back on after waiting the recommended 3 to 4 hours, please give us a call at 973-398-2359 and we will happily come to help you diagnose the issue further.
